Performing Arts

Verdon College has a hard-working and enthusiastic Performing Arts team that is dedicated to providing opportunities for our students to develop their talents and confidence. Our curriculum is structured in a way that our students can develop a base set of skills through option classes and then be given a platform to display and further explore their true passions. See some of our Performing Arts opportunities below.

Music

On top of being able to choose music as a subject option, we have a wide range of talented musicians from around Invercargill come in to tutor students during school time. Get in touch with Mr Thomas for more details.

Students can then share their talents through opportunities such as Sheilah Winn Shakespeare, House Dramas and School Productions.

Dance

Verdon College offers dance as a subject option from the Junior School, right through to the Senior School where NZQA qualifications can be achieved. We have a passionate team of dancers who support each other in achieving their goals. Email Miss Ramsay for more details.
